The Langford recently had a four-legged neighbor move-in named Lucy. Unlike most of the pets who call The Langford home, Lucy doesn’t belong to one resident, she belongs to all of the residents. The Life Enrichment team cares for her after hours but she comes to work each day just like every other employee. Lucy’s job is to provide pet therapy to elders interested in the interaction, bringing both calm and joy. Artist and resident Irwin Carroll took his inspiration from the black and white beauty, painting her likeness on a tiny canvas. Fellow resident, Barbara Landers said, “His collection is so beautiful. There is so much talent at The Langford!”
