How to prepare for a visit to The Langford

Visiting Independent Living:

Updated 8/12/2021:

·        Where to enter: Guest must enter at the concierge desk.

·        What to expect: If county positivity rate is higher than 5%, each visitor will be screened, and guests must wear a mask. If county positivity rate is lower than 5% guest will be screened and a mask is still appropriate.

·        Guest in the dining room:

o  Guest must screen at the concierge.

o  Visitor must perform hand hygiene before visit.

 

Visiting Assisted Living/Memory Support:

Beginning Monday, 04/05/2021The Langford will now offer these types of visits:

Ø  Personal Visits

·  Visiting Hours: 7 days a week 9am-5:30pm

·        Schedule your appointment by calling Katie or Shelley at (979) 704-6600 or email lfdessentialcg@mrcaff.orgto set up appointments. Staff is available for scheduling

Monday-Friday 9:30am-3:30pm. Emails and phone calls received outside of this time will be scheduled the next business day. If you would like to visit over the weekend, please submit your visitation request by Friday at 12pm so we have plenty time to get your visit on the schedule.

·        Enter at the concierge desk where you will be screened.

·        Must wear a medical grade (Surgical or N95) mask for the ENTIRE VISIT. If you do not comply, you may be asked to leave.

·        Covid-19 testing is not required but strongly encouraged to protect residents and staff.

·        The visitor must maintain physical distancing from other residents and staff.

 

Essential Caregiver Visits:

Essential Visitors must have completed the required training and Essential Visitor contract PRIOR to the first visit.

• Visits are required to be scheduled 24 hours in advance and we ask you to limit your visit to a maximum of 4 hours. However, the 2 designated essential caregivers may visit at the same time.

• Essential Visitors must be 18 years or older.

• These visits are permitted outdoors or in the resident’s room.

• Essential visitors do not have to maintain social distancing during their visit and may have close and personal contact with the resident. The essential visitor must comply with wearing the same personal protective equipment (PPE) as the staff wear.

If you would like to visit over the weekend, please submit your visitation request by Friday at 12pm so we have plenty time to get your visit on the schedule.

 

 

Personal Visits:

·        Residents can have a personal indoor visit with person(s) of their choice.

·        Visitor may only visit a Covid-19 negative resident.

·        Visits may occur outdoors or in a designated indoor visiting area.

·        Visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance and are limited to a 4-hour maximum at this time. This ensures all residents have equal access to visitation.  

·        Visitation is limited to 4 people in a resident’s room. Additional visitors can be accommodated in outdoor spaces. Contact Shelley or Katie for more information (979) 704-6600.

·        The Resident (if tolerated) must wear a mask. There is no age restriction to personal visitors, however, all visitors must be able to wear a medical mask for the whole visit and comply with social distancing. Guests bringing children must ensure they are able to comply with these requirements or you may be asked to leave. Children under 2 years old are not required to wear a mask.

·        The resident may eat with the caregiver in the room. The Visitor may not.

·        Visitors must perform hand hygiene before and after the visit.

·        Covid-19 testing is not required but strongly encouraged to protect residents and staff.

·        Visits are limited to designated areas.

 

*Only the Executive Director, Stacey Nehring, (979) 704-6607 or the Assisted Living Director, Paula Seale,(979) 704-3395 can approve any form of visit for a special circumstance that is outside of the above parameters.
