How to prepare for a visit to The Langford

Visiting Independent Living:

Beginning Monday, 04/05/2021:

·        Where to enter: Guest must enter at the concierge desk.

·        What to expect: If county positivity rate is higher than 5%, each visitor will be screened, and guests must wear a mask. If county positivity rate is lower than 5% guest will be screened and a mask is still appropriate.

·        Guest in the dining room:

o  Guest must screen at the concierge.

o  Visitor must perform hand hygiene before visit.

o  Resident must complete a reservation request and reserve a table with the concierge for groups larger than 5. Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance (guest policy may change as positivity rates change).

 

Visiting Assisted Living/Memory Support:

Beginning Monday, 04/05/2021The Langford will now offer these types of visits:

Ø  Essential Visits

Ø  Personal Visits

Ø  End of Life Visits- Contact our team directly to learn more about the protocol

 

·  Visiting Hours: 7 days a week.

o  Inside Essential Visits (in resident’s room):9am; 1pm; 3pm

o  Inside Personal Visits Up to 3 people (in resident’s room): 9am; 1pm; 3pm

o  Inside Personal Visits groups larger than 3people (in visitation area): 9am; 1pm; 3pm

o  Outside visits: 9am-6pm

·        Schedule your appointment by calling Katie or Shelley at (979) 704-6600 or email lfdessentialcg@mrcaff.orgto set up appointments. Staff is available for scheduling Monday-Friday9:30am-3:30pm.

·        Enter at the concierge desk where you will be screened.

·        Must wear a medical grade mask.

·        Covid-19 testing is not required but strongly encouraged to protect residents and staff.

·        The visitor must maintain physical distancing from other residents and staff.

·        All guests must inform The Langford of the type of visit requested in the initial scheduling call.

 

Essential Caregiver Visits:

·        Up to 2 permanently designated people who have been designated by the resident or responsible party.

·        Must be 18 years or older

·        May visit regardless of resident’s Covid-19status.

·        The visit may occur outdoors or in the Resident’s room.

·        Resident is allowed 2 Essential Caregivers in the room at the same time.

·        Social distancing is not required and personal contact is allowed with the Resident.

·        The Resident (if tolerated) and The Essential Caregiver must wear a medical grade mask.

·        The resident may eat with the caregiver in the room. The Essential Caregiver may not.

·        The Essential Caregiver must complete a written agreement that the essential caregiver understands and agrees to follow the applicable policies, procedures, and requirements.

·        The Essential Caregiver must complete training on proper PPE usage and infection control measures, hand hygiene, and cough and sneeze etiquette.

·        Visitors must perform hand hygiene before and after each visit.

·        Covid-19 testing is not required but strongly encouraged to protect residents and staff.

 

PersonalVisits:

·        Residents can have a personal indoor visit with person(s) of their choice.

·        Visitor may only visit a Covid-19 negative resident.

·        Visits may occur outdoors or in a designated indoor visiting area.

·        Visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance and are limited to a 2-hour maximum at this time. This ensures all residents have equal access to visitation.  

·        Visitation is limited to 3 people in a resident’s room and groups larger than 3 in the designated visitation area.

·        The Resident (if tolerated) and the visitor of any age must wear a medical grade mask. There is no age restriction to personal visitors, however, all visitors must be able to wear a medical mask for the whole visit and comply with social distancing. Guests bringing children must ensure they are able to comply with these requirements or you may be asked to leave. Children under 2 years old are not required to wear a mask.

·        The resident may eat with the caregiver in the room. The Visitor may not.

·        Visitors must perform hand hygiene before and after the visit.

·        Covid-19 testing is not required but strongly encouraged to protect residents and staff.

·        Visits are limited to designated areas.

 *Only the Executive Director, Stacey Nehring, (979) 704-6607 or the Assisted Living Director, Paula Seale,(979) 704-3395 can approve any form of visit for a special circumstance that is outside of the above parameters.
