Fred Rogers said, “Deep within us, no matter who we are, there lives a feeling of wanting to be lovable, of wanting to be the kind of person that others like to be with. And the greatest thing we can do is to let people know that they are loved and capable of loving.”
Loving others and knowing that often it can come with a cost is when authentic love is shared between two people. This cost can look different for each of us, but our willingness to love our Lord should then pour out onto others. When we do this it can be uncomfortable, inconvenient, or painful, the Holy Spirit then gifts us with new encouragement and the ability for more. “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” - 2 Timothy 1:7
